CASTING INSTRUCTION
I offer high-end casting instruction and I am an FFI Certified Casting Instructor and Two-Hand Master Casting Instructor. My courses are available for the Single-handed and the Double-handed flyfishing fan. For clubs, corporations, and individuals.
SINGLE HAND
FLY CASTING COURSE
This course aims to teach you to fly cast and herewith make you a better flyfisher.
During the course, I will teach you the basic elements of a fly cast and look at how rod, line, and body work together. We will then look at practical fishing casts. By the end of the course, you will be able to analyse your casting and go fishing. This course is aimed at beginners and intermediate flyfishers who want to gain knowledge in single-handed fly casting.
DOUBLE HAND
FLY CASTING COURSE
This course aims to teach you to fly cast with a two-handed rod and herewith make you a better double-handed flyfisher.
During the course, I will teach you the basic elements of a Spey Cast and look at how rod, line, and body work together. This will be followed by practical fishing casts, e.g. Roll Cast, Snap-O, Double Spey, Single Spey, or Snake Roll. All depending on your individual fishing needs “hunting water.” By the end of the course, you will be able to analyse your casting and go fishing. This course is aimed at beginners and intermediate fly fishers who want to gain knowledge with a double-handed flyrod.
INSTRUCTION 1-1
If you are not up for a group experience, then a private 1-1 casting instruction might be the right thing for you.
An individual casting session is tailored to your own personal needs and will be discussed during the booking process. Whether you are a beginner and are looking for the best introduction into the most gorgeous sport on earth or are and advanced flyfisher who wants to brush up his/her casting technique for the next fishing holiday, I will make it work.
1-1 MENTORING
Ideal for all skill levels. This is a concept for the most passionate and committed flyfisher.
Flyfishing and flycasting should come naturally. Keeping up training is the best way to refine and memorize technique. Over a longer period, we will work with a personal training plan to make you a bloody good flycaster and herewith a skilled flyfisher. The mentoring includes either 5 x 1h private instructions or 10 x 1h privat instructions, video analysis, email correspondence. Zoom meetings are also an option.
MENTORING FLYCASTING INSTRUCTOR
If you are thinking of becoming a certified instructor with the FFI it is a great help to be mentored by a fellow qualified casting instructor.
Having been working for the instructor program for years and still being active in certifying future instructors, Lasse Karlsson is giving the most knowledgeable, up-to-date, and practice-based support you can find. A great teacher mixed with your effort and enthusiasm is the best preparation there is.
